Two major areas: Molecular mechanisms of pollen -pistil interaction in flowering plants, focusing on the S-RNase-based self -incompatibility (SI) and molecular identification of rice agronomic important genes using genetic - and genomics –based approaches.

Topic:显花植物的“枕边话”:核酸酶类自交不亲和性的分子机制
Abstract:
自交不亲和性(Self-incompatibility,SI)是显花植物中广泛存在的一种促进异交抑制自交的种内生殖障碍,因此对于显花植物的遗传多样性的维系具有非常重要的生物学意义。在多数显花植物中,SI受控于一个由复等位基因构成的遗传位点称为S-位点。在茄科、车前科和蔷薇科植物中,已经发现该位点编码了S-核酸酶和SLF(含F-box结构域蛋白)两类蛋白,分别控制了花柱和花粉自交不亲和性的表达。但是,它们如何作用抑制自交和促进的分子机制有待深入研究。我们前期的工作表明SLF可以形成一类典型的SCF(Skp1/Cullin/F-box)E3泛素连接酶复合体,而且可以对异己S-核酸酶降解从而促进异交。本报告将介绍我们实验室相关的最新进展,探讨自交不亲和显花植物促进异交和抑制自交的分子机制。
