The MengLab primarily uses zebrafish and mice as model organisms to study the critical issues during early embryonic development in vertebrates, including cell fate determination, mesoderm induction and differentiation, and the key regulators of dorsal-ventral and anterior-posterior axis formation, aiming to uncover the underlying mechanisms.
