Research Area:

We try to elucidate, at the molecular level, the mechanism how genomic stability is maintained in eukaryotic cells. Our current studies mainly focus on the following projects: 1) how eukaryotic DNA replication is initiated and regulated; 2) how replication forks are stabilized by checkpoint control; 3) how checkpoint regulates DNA metabolism (replication, recombination and repair) and cell growth cycle; 4) What is the chromatin struture for a particular region and how the chromatin structure changes during cell differentiation; 5) how a defective DNA metabolism protein causes genomic instability and cancer.
