Mónica Bettencourt Dias, Ph.D

Biography：Mónica Bettencourt Dias is a Professor at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia since October 2006. Her major research interest is on centrosome, cell cycle and cilia. She did her PhD at University College in London, under the supervision of Professor Jeremy Brockes and a post doc with Professor David Glover (University of Cambridge, UK). She is the recipient of awards including an EMBO Installation Grant (2007), the Eppendorf Prize (2007), the European Research Council Starting Grant (2010), membership of the EMBO Young Investigator Programme (2009), membership of EMBO (2015), European Research Council Consolidator Grant (2015). She is also an editorial board member of Journal of Cell Biology.
