Research Area:
1. Chemical synthesis and modification of proteins. Development of new methods and technologies for synthesis of larger and more complex proteins. Application of chemically synthesized proteins to the study of biochemistry and biophysics.
2. Catalytic synthesis of bioactive small molecules. Development of new transition metal-catalyzed reactions for synthesis of bioactive small molecules. Application of synthetic small molecules to the study of biochemistry and pharmaceutical science.
